Are you hands-on, proactive, and ready to play a key role behind the scenes at one of Scotland’s most iconic venues? If so, we want to hear from you! 

We are looking for a Facilities & Operations Assistant to support the grounds team in keeping Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium—and other Scottish Rugby sites—looking their best. From day-to-day upkeep to event-ready presentation, this is a busy role that ensures every visitor experiences our venues at their finest.

What you will be doing:  

  • Team Leadership: Plan and supervise daily tasks, manage rotas and on-call schedules, and support the Grounds Team with coaching and performance feedback.
  • Event Operations: Coordinate event setup and breakdown, attend safety briefings, and manage on-the-day responses and post-event clean-up.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure safe working practices, deliver regular safety briefings, and maintain accurate records of inspections and incidents.
  • Facilities Support: Oversee stadium maintenance, liaise with contractors and suppliers, operate machinery, and contribute to sustainability and recycling initiatives.

What we’re looking for someone who's:  

  • Trained and certified – with IPAF, Telehandler, Fire Awareness, First Aid, Fire Warden, Manual Handling, and Working at Heights qualifications.
  • Physically fit – ready to take on a mix of indoor and outdoor tasks, often in challenging weather conditions.
  • Safety-conscious – with a strong understanding of health and safety practices and a proactive approach to risk management.
  • Practical and hands-on – confident using equipment and supporting a wide range of operational duties.
